The following is an extract from an interview with Jo.
In the late nineties a young 19-year-old by the name of Joanne Hicks arrived on the topless modeling scene resplendent with her 32DD breasts. Jo went on to become one of the most in demand Page 3 girls ever and was voted the most popular Page 3 girl by Sun readers for 25 consecutive months in 2001/02.
However, the passage of time and working out at the gym meant that Jo\'s breasts lost the fullness they previously had and this began to eat away at her confidence and self esteem and so recently, now age 26, she took the decision to have cosmetic surgery to restore her breasts to the size they had been when she first started modeling.
For someone whose living depends on her breasts it was obviously very important to find the right surgeon to carry out the procedure. Jo did her homework and chose to have consultations with four different surgeons. Three of the surgeons did not give her the confidence that she was looking for, being very brief in answering her questions and basically just saying she should trust them. The fourth, Mr Lawry Iregbulem of Profile Cosmetic Surgery, stood out head and shoulders above the rest and helped Jo to feel relaxed, reassured and comfortable immediately. When the time for the operation arrived Jo could have been forgiven for being more than usually apprehensive given her living was at stake. Jo was on the operating table for just over one hour and had implants under the muscle. She stayed overnight in the hospital and has nothing but praise for the staff who attended her every need, including alleviating the inevitable discomfort that follows any operation.
Jo got her first look at her new breasts when the bandages came off the following morning and was overwhelmed with the results: "I wanted my new breasts to still look natural and I had been careful not to choose implants that would be too big. I could not have been more delighted when I saw them: I had the breasts back that I had when I was 19. It made me so happy, and it has really helped my self esteem and confidence."
I asked Jo what she would say to other women thinking of having cosmetic surgery, she said: "The most important thing is to do it for yourself. Having decided it\'s what you want the next important step is to choose the right surgeon and I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Iregbulem of Profile Cosmetic Surgery."
